Customer appreciation

It makes me so happy when somebody buys something in my shop that I want to give them something extra to show my appreciation. So I’ve made some skull brooches for that purpose.
I hope my customers will like their little freebies!

This happy girl is inspired by Dora the Explorer. She is oh-so cute!

Busy bee

Desperately trying to keep my blog up to date, my apartment clean, to be present at work full time, and to get enough sleep, but all I really want to do is sew new awkward creatures. It’s going slowly but new weird looking friends are still being born and today I’d like to introduce you to #41 Mimi:

Mimi is quite the perfectionist. If something isn’t done completely right, she will do it again until she feels it’s perfect. So she is a slow worker, but a hard worker and she produces quality honey. Mimi loves flower stores, colorful pens and paper and pancakes with honey. And she’s for sale in my etsy store.

Happy birthday Moem!

Today it’s my mother’s birthday again, she’s only turning 47 and her daughter is already almost 30... I feel she’s young and I’m old! Anyway, I’m talking to her right now on Skype, because it’s midnight at home now so her birthday has just officially started. She’s opening my gift, a hand sewn cow.

Her favorite animal is definitely a cow, I’m not sure why but she has been collecting cows forever. Now she can add a cow à la eleventh monkey complete with hot pink utters! I really hope she likes it. I’m a bit sad I can’t hug and kiss her today, so I’ll just send her virtual hugs and kisses over Skype and Blogger. Happy birthday, x-o-x-o-x!

A Rather Late Monday Bed

Who else is struggling out there, keeping up with bloggy blog land? I have been rather neglectful of this pink place here of late..... with everything going on at this time of year. Look..... my 'Monday Bed' is now turning up on a Thursday. I'll make more of an effort leading up to Christmas... after all, this is the most exciting time of the year to blog, with all the prettiness goin' on! Now aren't these darling beds to die for.... literally... I don't think I'd let my boys get up on the top bunks... no rails!

The sinful Achilles Heel of John Paul II

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all our friends and readers!

Please read our 3 new posts today:

1. John Paul II the Great clashing cymbal of St. Paul - in the John Paul II Millstone http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2009/11/john-paul-ii-great-clashing-cymbal-of.html

2. Benedict XVI to beatify John Paul II is “brought to nothing” by St. Paul - in Benedict XVI-Ratzinger, God’s Rottweiler http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2009/11/benedict-xvi-to-beatify-john-paul-ii-is.html

3. John Paul II did not have the charity of Mother Teresa – in John Paul II Millstone http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2009/11/john-paul-ii-did-not-have-charity-of.html

John Paul II beatified and canonized more than 1,500 persons and therefore he knew what to do to guarantee his own beatification and canonization. Now Benedict XVI is following “the plan” as scheduled.

But we will not let them get away with it so easily. We are the only websites so far who are dedicated to exposing the “sinful Achilles Heel” of John Paul II who covered-up and abetted the 6,000 pedophile priests in America, the hundreds in Ireland, and the hundreds of thousands in Latin America (“a plague” as our missionary friends tell us). But Benedict XVI is trying to delete this "sinful Achilles Heel" of John Paul II from history books and from our American memories. That is why we need to have a SNAP memorial museum someday... and every name of victims of priest-pedophilia in each diocese will be engraved just like they did with the names of victims of Pearl Harbour and the World Trade Center.

Meanwhile let’s enjoy our thanksgiving dinners with our families. We believe in God’s Divine Justice for Catholics in America and God forbid that American children for generations to come will ever call John Paul II as a “blessed” or “saint”. John Paul II has a giant millstone tied around his neck and is cast in the deep sea by St. Michael because he covered-up for over a quarter of a century his own John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. 26 papal years (controlled by Opus Dei) was a long time for John Paul II to allow the stench of priest pedophilia to keep burning in the Eucharistic altars of America. God save America from the false “saint” John Paul II.

John Paul II is the first member of the ‘Catholic Hall of Shame', Cardinal Bernard Law is the second member

In case our readers missed this post in the John Paul II Millstone here is the article in full http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2009/11/john-paul-ii-is-first-member-of.html

John Paul II is the first member of the ‘Catholic Hall of Shame' because he covered-up, for 26 years, the priest-pedophilia in the USA, Ireland, and around the world.

John Paul II defended the unborn from abortion, but, he never defended the living 12,000 American victims from priest-pedophilia.

If Catholics are proud to name the John Paul II Generation of Youth and Priests, it also just to call the more than 6,000 American pedophile priests as the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army see lists in www.jp2army.blogspot.com and http://www.bishop-accountability.org/

The major problem with John Paul II was that he was preoccupied with either the unborn or the dead that he ignored the living. He preached against abortion and wrote Letter entitled “The Gospel of Life”. He was obsessed with canonizing the dead that he beatified and canonized more than 1,500 dead people in the Vatican saint-factory. But in-between he ignored completely the living 12,000 survivors’ network of those abused by priests, SNAP http://www.snapnetwork.org/

John Paul II refused to address the issue of priest-pedophilia brewing and erupting right under his Holy See and holy nose. He spoke only one sentence about it in 2002, see excerpt below. For a pope who wrote countless speeches, homilies and books, he had exactly 24 words to say about it. That's barely one-word-per-year for his 26 years papacy.

As early as 1985, Tom Doyle gave him an intensive research of priest-pedophilia in New Orleans. Tom Doyle warned John Paul II and the Vatican that it could cost the American Catholic Church hundreds of millions of dollars if these victims ever sued.

In 1979, John Paul II landed first here in Boston. Ironically, priest-pedophilia first erupted in Boston in 2002. Coincidently, 2002 was his last trip to North America and his last World Youth Day. And it was the – first and last time in public - he ever addressed the issue priest-pedophilia.

In 1994, Robert Costello's wrote a letter to John Paul II about priest-pedophile Rev. John M. Cotter of Boston http://www.bishop-accountability.org/docs/boston/cotter/1994_05_20_Costello_JPII_01.htm. He calls the priest “second to God” and wrote “What I can’t understand all of the silence by the Catholic Church”.

Unfortunately, John Paul II stuck only to his position as “second to God” and opted to keep “all the silence” about priest-pedophilia.

John Paul II cannot claim that he was not informed and was ignorant about this most heinous crime against children in Catholic Church history that thrived and erupted during his longest reigning papacy in modern times. Cardinal Bernard Law, all cardinals and bishops have been informing him in their regular visits to Rome.

Below is an excerpt and underlined are his words. In 2002, in his last trip to North America, this was John Paul II’s – first and last words – about priest-pedophilia. It was only one sentence inserted in his entire long speech. (see sentence in bold)

Unfortunately, these papal words were a bit - too late and useless - to the 12,000 victims of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. And his papal words did not prevent the more than 2 Billion dollars the Catholic Church had to pay for his papal negligence and papal cover-up.

An excerpt from John Paul II homily at
The World Youth Day 2002
Toronto, Downsview Park, Sunday July 28, 2002

Even a tiny flame lifts the heavy lid of night. How much more light will you make, all together, if you bond as one in the communion of the Church! If you love Jesus, love the Church! Do not be discouraged by the sins and failings of some of her members.

The harm done by some priests and religious to the young and vulnerable fills us all with a deep sense of sadness and shame.

But think of the vast majority of dedicated and generous priests and religious whose only wish is to serve and do good!

There are many priests, seminarians and consecrated persons here today; be close to them and support them! And if, in the depths of your hearts, you feel the same call to the priesthood or consecrated life, do not be afraid to follow Christ on the royal road of the Cross!

At difficult moments in the Church's life, the pursuit of holiness becomes even more urgent. And holiness is not a question of age; it is a matter of living in the Holy Spirit, just as Kateri Tekakwitha did here in America and so many other young people have done.

You are young, and the Pope is old, 82 or 83 years of life is not the same as 22 or 23. But the Pope still fully identifies with your hopes and aspirations.

(Full speech here http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/john_paul_ii/homilies/2002/documents/hf_jp-ii_hom_20020728_xvii-wyd_en.html)

Unfortunately, the John Paul II did not “fully identify” with the healing of the 12,000 American victims of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army.

The second member of the ‘Catholic Hall of Shame’ is Cardinal Bernard Law

In 2002, the epicentre of priest-pedophilia was Boston. The John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army first erupted in the media in April 2002, John Paul II went to Toronto in July and by December 13, Cardinal Law resigned.

Cardinal Bernard Law was the first Cardinal to resign in modern times because the ‘laity of Boston’ had the guts to force him physically -- to get out of their diocese and out-of-their-sight. The laity did a quick and efficient job in ousting Law within the span from April to December 2002. That is a record breaking 9-month to kick-out a Cardinal. The ‘laity of Boston’ should be honoured in the Guinness World Records.

To help pay for settlements to his victims, Law sold the Bishop’s palace to neighbouring Boston College run the Jesuits.

But as reward for his crime, John Paul II promoted Cardinal Law as High Priest of the St, Mary Major Basilica in Rome, the most prestigious of all the basilicas, only next to St. Peter’s Basilica.

By order of John Paul II, Cardinal Law moved from the sold-Bishop’s Palace in Boston to the Vatican Palace, it is only in the Catholic Church that “crime does pay”!

John Paul II and Cardinal Law could quote the Bible like two walking encyclopaedias but they claimed they did not know any single name of a pedophile priest!

John Paul II had neither compassion nor compunction to the Bostonian victims of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. So he flew Cardinal Law to be beside him in Rome. There, they both could dwell in the lap of luxury at the Vatican Palace and continue to live out-of-touch with victims of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army www.jp2army.blogspot.com

John Paul II to be beatified soon

According to the Polish News Report in the Polish daily “Dziennik”, John Paul II will be beatified on April 2, 2010. He died on April 2, 2005.

John Paul II was obsessed with preparing his own beatification and canonization that he installed the Vatican saint-factory. His successor and clone, Benedict XVI will soon beatify him see www.pope-ratz.blogspot.com

But history has recorded that John Paul II has a giant millstone tied around his neck.

John Paul II claimed to be “next to God” but towards the end of his life, he became an ugly pope drooling with saliva from his mouth whenever he spoke. Like Lucifer, the brightest of angels, was cast down from heaven by St. Michael the Archangel, John Paul II the great was also cast down with a giant millstone around his neck from his papal throne.

If there are any words of Christ that John Paul II fulfilled, it is the Biblical millstone that was, is and always will be tied to his papal neck, the John Paul II Millstone.

Jesus said: “Temptations, stumbling blocks, enticements are surely to come, but whoever causes one of these little ones to sin, it would be better that a giant millstone would be tied around their neck and they would be thrown into the heart of the sea.” Mark 9:42-50, Luke 7:1-4, Matthew 18:6-10

So posthumously, John Paul II the Great deserves the dishonour as the first member of the Catholic Hall of Shame.

This post is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the martyrdom of the 6 Jesuits of Liberation Theology in El Salvador; it was a theology that John Paul II suppressed. These Jesuits, Ignacio Ellacuria and companions are the ones who should be beatified because they gave their lives to the poorest brethrens of Christ. Senate honored them today. John Paul II lived a life of luxury and served only the wealthy Catholics. His trips abroad were meant only to amass more wealth for the Vatican Bank.

http://dallaspeacecenter.org/node/4661

Meanwhile the US Congress has approved a lengthy resolution honouring "these eight spiritual, courageous and generous priests, educators and laywomen" and urging "the people of the US, academic institutions and religious congregations to participate in local, national and international" commemorations of the anniversary.

The resolution, which was passed by both the US House of Representatives and the Senate in late October, stated that the Jesuits had "dedicated their lives to advancing education in El Salvador, protecting and promoting human rights and the end of conflict, and identifying and addressing the economic and social problems that affected the majority of the Salvadoran population".

The resolution highlights how the killing of the martyrs acted as a catalyst for the negotiations which helped bring about the 1992 peace accords in the Central American country.

The resolution states, “the international and Salvadoran outcry in response to the deaths of the six Jesuits and two women and the subsequent investigations into this crime served as a catalyst for negotiations and contributed to the signing of the 1992 peace accords, which have allowed the government and the people of El Salvador to achieve significant progress in creating and strengthening democratic political, economic and social institutions."

Free brooches

Somebody bought a set of love skull ornaments today and she mentioned the codeword ‘aap’ during checkout at Etsy. And because she bought the third product since the sale started I sent her a gift with her purchase, a green-blue love skull brooch.

I know I had a rule about every third buyer mentioning the codeword getting a free present. But giving away little presents is just too much fun. So I’m changing the rule so that every buyer mentioning the codeword gets a free brooch.

Extra the little butterfly brooch

The sale has only just started and my best and favorite customer shopped in my shop again! My sweet mom! She’s started her Christmas shopping already and is planning to put some eleventh monkey creatures under the Christmas tree. And she was so excited about the free giveaway that I made her something special, a tiny butterfly brooch.

I’m giving away skull brooches to other customers, but I’ll be making a bunch of big butterflies for the shop as soon as I can. I hope Rosa the Bear and Mindy the Monkey make the people they’re given to happy and that the little butterfly makes my mom happy.

Sale in the eleventh monkey shop!

Everything is 33% off for a whole month (sale ends December 14)! So all creatures originally priced at $22.00 are now selling for $14.74, and creatures originally priced at $11.00 are selling for $7.37! And I’m also giving away little presents handmade by me.

This is how the giveaway works:
The first buyer who leaves the codeword "aap" in the 'message to seller’ during checkout will receive a free gift with their purchase. And after that, every third buyer mentioning the codeword during checkout will also get a little handmade present. Happy shopping!

New creatures on the block

Added a bunch of new awkward creatures to my shop. Meet my new monkeys: Mel, Max, Tess and Bart.

I loved the wedding bears and I really wanted to add a few bears to my shop, I especially like Rosa with the little rose next to her ear. And I recently bought some new materials like neon-colored felt for the giraffes and loads of non-matching buttons, which were really fun to use.

Getting Festive

It's getting to that time of year! .... and I have a confession to make.... our tree is already up. We get to enjoy it for that little bit longer..... our shrine to my boy's Christmas artwork for the past 11 years. It groans under the weight of lovingly handmade decorations and festively framed photographs. Each year some decorations break or perish but there is always this years creations to add to it. We also have the best twinkling lights, purchased from a toss out bin at the supermarket, years ago. Heaven forbid they ever break... I don't think I would be able to find better. The lights go on each morning before I head out for my morning walk so when the boys wake they come downstairs to their beautiful tree. It's the first thing they see. I hope it becomes a treasured childhood memory for them. They 'exclaim' every morning when they see it.
Happy Wednesday!

In the 1990s, criminal proceedings began against members of the Christian Brothers in Newfoundland. The proceedings were based on allegations of sexual and physical abuse against boys at the Mount Cashel Orphanage. It was alleged that the Brothers were allowed to escape prosecution at the time (1980s) if they left Newfoundland.[1] Several Brothers left Newfoundland and went to teach at St. Thomas More Collegiate in British Columbia. These included Joseph Burke, Edward English, Edward French, and Kevin Short.[2] The subsequent lawsuits[3] by the Mount Cashel victims against the Christian Brothers organization threatened to close STMC in 2004.[4]

Main article: Sexual abuse scandal in the Legion of Christ
Fr. Marcial Maciel founded the Legion of Christ, a Catholic order of priests originating in Mexico. Nine former seminarians of his order accused Maciel of molestation.[21] One retracted his accusation, saying that it was a plot intended to discredit the Legion. Maciel has maintained his innocence of the accusations. In early December 2004, a few months before Pope John Paul II's death, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (who would replace him as Pope, becoming Benedict XVI) reopened a Vatican investigation into longstanding allegations against Maciel.[22] Father Maciel then declined to be elected again as general director of the Legion on 20 January 2005 at the order's annual meeting; a spokesman denied that this decision was related to the investigation. On 19 May 2006, Pope Benedict XVI ordered 86-year-old Father Marcial Maciel to give up his ministry and retire to a life of "prayer and repentance." A Vatican statement said that he had only escaped a full trial in an ecclesiastical court because of his "advanced age [and] frail health."[23] The statement noted that the sanctions had been personally endorsed by the Pope. Commentators said that this was a clear departure from the policy of Benedict's predecessor, John Paul II, and appeared to be a first step toward fulfilling the new pontiff's vow to sweep "filth" from the church.

The boy was initially lured by Murguía Ward and given Pokémon figures in exchange for photos of his intimate parts. When Murguía Ward was caught, he had paid the boy 20 Nuevo Soles ($7 USD) for his services in the hostel. The police have reported that pictures of two other boys were also found on Murguía Ward's camera and that the boy has claimed he received oral sex from Murguía Ward. These charges have been denied by the accused. Murguía Ward has since been removed from the group Sodalitium Christianae Vitae for his misconduct. [24][25][26]

Monday Bed

Well it's November now! The year is slowly coming to an end. I love this month. The nights are still cool, the days are heating up, teasing us with snippets of the heat we are to expect every year at Christmas time, school is winding down and the holidays are fast approaching (less than 5 weeks left of term!). As my boys school motto says, "finish hard"... go strong til the end. Have a great week!

Little Red Riding Hood

I tell the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood at bedtime to my children. To accompany the story I made the girl with the red cap. The pattern is available on kandjdolls.etsy.com
