and it's not the first time

Over the weekend I painted our china cabinet in a nice soft tranquil blue to go

with the wallpaper I had lined the cabinet with almost 2 months ago.

Back in early April I won a giveaway Amy @ Maison Decor had been running.

I got to pick some beautiful wallpaper from D. Marie Wallpaper down in Washington state.

The cabinet had been painted beige right after moving in, same as the wall color.

Quick, easy, and BORING!!

JUST RIGHT,

and don't forget to keep those plastic garden fence.

You just never know when you might need them.

AURORA

I received an email from a local follower Victoria, asking if I

 wanted a couple of furniture odds and ends she had. Nothing major

 but things I could store and use in the future when necessity called.

 While visiting and talking with Victoria this art deco china cabinet

 came up. She had bought it with great intentions but before

 commencing on the revamping task she came across a second

cabinet that matched her needs better. So it was now up for sale.

Please meet Aurora!

Yes, I named her after sleeping beauty.

Aurora's jewelry looked like that of a night owl's big saucer eyes,

 so it was time to get to working on a new look for this princess

She got a bath, and a new pair of shoes.

A tiara,

and a matching necklace,

She got a new dress

with all the pretty bouquets of flowers

her eyes started to lit up with excitement because

Aurora has even found her prince charming

 in JACK.

Still quite in shock ....

I'm always looking for new papers for drawer liners

and such with all the furniture revamping I do.

When I saw Amy had a wallpaper giveaway,

the first thing I thought of was her china cabinet

that both George and I adored.

She had also done her laundry room ceiling in a

 faux tin wallpaper from the same lovely ladies at

D. Marie Wallpaper Interiors.

Sure enough then she sent them a link to her blog to

 show off her projects and they loved what they saw.
