SOLID OAK BEAUTY - large vintage dresser

Unfortunately just because you're solid oak
doesn't mean everyone will cherish you.
The upper crossbar had been cut in two.

I was able to repair the damaged
crossbar and add a dust divider inside
to help support the repair. It's stronger now
then when originally built.

I added:
  • Reproduction glass knobs

  • Two appliques on the upper side columns

  • Two appliques on the bottom middle

  • Primer

  • Paint

  • Clear coat

New legs where also added, purchased at RONA.
All three original escutcheons were in tact when we
found this piece, however there were no handles.
An escutcheon is the ornamental or protective
 plate, as for a keyhole.
